4/3/2023 MEDIA ADVISORY: House Finance Subcommittees meet four times this week to continue hearing department budgets
STATE HOUSE – The House Finance Subcommittees will meet four times this week to continue hearing testimony on department budgets from the FY 2024 (2023-H 5200) budget and the FY 2023 (2023-H 5199) supplemental budget.

On Tuesday, April 4 at 3 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on General Government, chaired by Rep. Alex D. Marszalkowski (D-Dist. 52, Cumberland), will hear testimony on the Office of the General Treasurer and the Ethics Commission.

Also, on Tuesday, April 4 at the RISE of the House (approximately 5 p.m.) in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Education, chaired by Rep. Scott A. Slater (D-Dist. 10, Providence), will hear testimony on the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

On Wednesday, April 5 at 4 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Environment and Transportation, chaired by Rep. William W. O’Brien (D-Dist. 54, North Providence), will hear testimony on the Department of Environmental Management and the Coastal Resources Management Council.

On Thursday, April 6 at the 3:30 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Human Services, chaired by Rep. Teresa A. Tanzi (D-Dist. 34, Narragansett, Wakefield) will hear testimony on the Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

All the meetings will be televised live by Capitol Television, which can be seen by Cox Communications subscribers on channels 15 and 61 for high definition, on channel 15 by i3Broadband viewers, and channel 34 for Verizon subscribers.
