3/27/2023 MEDIA ADVISORY: House Finance Subcommittees meet five times this week to continue hearing department budgets
STATE HOUSE – The House Finance Subcommittees will meet five times this week to continue hearing testimony on department budgets from the FY 2024 (2023-H 5200) budget and the FY 2023 (2023-H 5199) supplemental budget.

On Tuesday, March 28 at 3 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on General Government, chaired by Rep. Alex D. Marszalkowski (D-Dist. 52, Cumberland), will hear testimony on the Human Rights Commission and the Public Utilities Commission.

Also, on Tuesday, March 28 at the RISE of the House (approximately 5 p.m.) in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Public Safety, chaired by Rep. Camille Vella-Wilkinson (D-Dist. 21, Warwick), will hear testimony on the Office of the Public Defender and the Department of Corrections.

On Wednesday, March 29 at 3 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on General Government will hear testimony on the Department of Business Regulation.

Also, on Wednesday, March 29 at the RISE of the House (approximately 5 p.m.) in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Environment and Transportation, chaired by Rep. William W. O’Brien (D-Dist. 54, North Providence), will hear testimony on the Department of Transportation and the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority.

On Thursday, March 30 at the 4 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Public Safety will hear testimony on the Office of the Attorney General, the Department of Public Safety and the Judiciary.

All the meetings will be televised live by Capitol Television, which can be seen by Cox Communications subscribers on channels 15 and 61 for high definition, on channel 15 by i3Broadband viewers, and channel 34 for Verizon subscribers.
