MEDIA ADVISORY: House Finance Subcommittees meet four times this week to hear department budgets
|
STATE HOUSE – The House Finance Subcommittees will meet this week to hear testimony on department budgets from the FY 2024 (2023-H 5200) budget and the FY 2023 (2023-H 5199) supplemental budget.
On Tuesday, March 7 at the RISE of the House (approximately 5 p.m.) in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Human Services, chaired by Rep. Teresa A. Tanzi (D-Dist. 34, Narragansett, South Kingstown), will hear testimony on the Department of Children, Youth and Families and the Office of the Child Advocate.
On Wednesday, March 8 at 4 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Human Services will hear testimony on the Executive Office of Health and Human Services and the Department of Human Services, including the Office of Healthy Aging. The Office of Veterans Services will be heard on March 15.
On Thursday, March 9 at the 3 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on General Government, chaired by Rep. Alex D. Marszalkowski (D-Dist. 52, Cumberland), will hear testimony on the Office of Secretary of State and the Board of Elections.
Also, on Thursday, March 9 at the RISE of the House (approximately 5 p.m.) in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on General Government will hear testimony on the Office of Governor, the Office of Lieutenant Governor and the Department of Administration.
All three meetings will be televised live by Capitol Television, which can be seen by Cox Communications subscribers on channels 15 and 61 for high definition, on channel 15 by i3Broadband viewers, and channel 34 for Verizon subscribers.
