Rep. Casimiro named as Eastern Region Democrat Director of the Women’s Legislative Network Executive Board of NCSL

STATE HOUSE – Rep. Julie A. Casimiro has been named as the Eastern Region Democrat Director of the Women’s Legislative Network Executive Board of the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL).
Representative Casimiro will be formally elected at the group’s board meeting during the “Building Balance: Women’s Unique Roles” event at the NCSL Legislative Summit in Louisville on August 4.
“It’s an honor to be named to the board of this incredible organization that supports female legislators across the country and inspires future generations of females to change the world for the better. I look forward to helping shape the Women’s Legislative Network’s agenda over the coming year so that we may continue to achieve our goals of strengthening women legislators throughout the United States,” said Representative Casimiro (D-Dist. 31, North Kingstown, Exeter).
The Women’s Legislative Network of NCSL is an organization that includes all women legislators by virtue of their election to office. The organization’s mission is to promote the participation, empowerment, and leadership of women legislators.
