MEDIA ADVISORY: 69th anniversary of Korean War ceasefire event to be held on July 27
|
STATE HOUSE – Chairman of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee Samuel A. Azzinaro (D-Dist. 37, Westerly) will be hosting an event to recognize the 69th anniversary of the Korean War ceasefire on Wednesday, July 27 at 11 a.m. at the Korean War Veterans Memorial (located at the corner of South Main Street and College Street (across from the Superior Court) in Providence.
Chairman Azzinaro will be joined by Governor Daniel McKee; Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza; Richard St. Louis, State Commander of the RI Korean War Veterans Council; Won K. Lau, President of the Korean American Association of Rhode Island; and Kijun You, Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Boston.
