3/21/2022 MEDIA ADVISORY: Senate Finance Committee to hear budget articles related to medical assistance, education
STATE HOUSE — The Senate Finance Committee is scheduled to meet Tuesday and Thursday to hear testimony on budget articles related to medical assistance and education as well as proposals under the American Rescue Plan Act.

The committee is scheduled to meet Tuesday, March 22, at the rise of the Senate (about 4:30 p.m.) in Room 313 on the third floor of the State House.

The committee will hear testimony on Article 12 of the budget, related to medical assistance, as well as ARPA proposals related to pediatric health care recovery, early intervention recovery and EOHHS eligibility extension compliance.

The committee will also meet Thursday, March 24, at the rise of the Senate (about 4:30 p.m.) in the Senate Lounge on the second floor of the State House to hear testimony on Article 10 of the budget, related to education, as well as ARPA proposals related to municipal learning centers.

In addition to these two meetings, the Subcommittee on Revenue, General Government and Public Safety will meet Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Room 313 to discuss the budget of the general treasurer and secretary of state. The subcommittee will also meet Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the Senate Lounge to discuss the budget of the lieutenant governor and the judiciary.
