Media Advisory: Legislative leaders, Treasurer Magaziner to announce legislation to expand historic investment in Rhode Island school buildings

PROVIDENCE, RI – Rhode Island General Treasurer Seth Magaziner will join co-sponsors Senator Hanna Gallo, Senator Sandra Cano, and Representative Brandon Potter, other legislators, educators, students, and community members to announce legislation that will extend and expand the once-in-a-generation investment in Rhode Island’s school buildings developed by the state School Construction Task Force co-chaired by Treasurer Magaziner and overwhelmingly approved by voters in 2018.
Due to the recent surge in cases of COVID-19, the announcement will be held outside. Attendees are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing during the event.
