9/19/2022 MEDIA ADVISORY: Senate Rules, Government Ethics and Oversight Committee meets on Wednesday to continue examining state turnaround efforts in Providence Public Schools
STATE HOUSE – The Senate Committee on Rules, Government Ethics and Oversight will be meet on Wednesday, September 21 at 5:30 p.m. in Room 313 of the State House to continue to provide oversight of state turnaround efforts in Providence Public Schools.

The committee is chaired by Sen. Louis P. DiPalma (D-Dist. 12, Middletown, Little Compton, Newport, Tiverton) and will review TAP annual performance metrics and school and district recruitment and retention data and strategies.  The committee will also discuss A-Venture Academy with Angélica Infante-Green, Commissioner of the RI Department of Education, and Dr. Javier Montañez, Superintendent of the Providence School District.

The public is welcome and invited to testify.
