Rep. Edwards to host ‘Stories of Survival’ with Holocaust Education Center at Tiverton Library
STATE HOUSE — Rep. John G. Edwards (D-Dist. 70, Tiverton, Portsmouth) will be hosting a Holocaust education program today called “Stories of Survival” in response to an incident where a local restaurant posted a meme making light of Holocaust victim Anne Frank.
The event, which will be held in conjunction with the Sandra Bornstein Holocaust Education Center Speakers Bureau, will take place
Monday, Aug. 1, at 6 p.m. in the community room of the Tiverton Public Library
, 34 Roosevelt Ave., in Tiverton.
Holocaust survivors and the children of Holocaust survivors are expected to share their stories of life under the Nazi regime. The event is free and open to the public.
