Senator Sheehan secures legislative grant for North Kingstown Senior Center
|
 STATE HOUSE — Sen. James C. Sheehan (D-Dist. 36, North Kingstown, Narragansett) has presented a $1,300 legislative grant to the North Kingstown Senior Center. The grant money will be used to offset salaries of developmentally disabled workers from Perspective Corp. for kitchen support for the senior center’s meals program.
“The North Kingstown Senior Center works tirelessly for the senior citizens of the town,” said Senator Sheehan. “They consistently come forward to help with many other programs in town, and I was proud to secure this grant money to help them out with their successful and much needed meals program.”
The North Kingstown Senior Association has, since its inception, been dedicated to enhancing the social, recreational and educational opportunities for all North Kingstown seniors. Programs and services at the North Kingstown Senior Center are available to members and non-members alike at no or little charge.
