4/6/2026 Media Advisory: Legislators to host Women In Government for event Tuesday
STATE HOUSE — Sen. Meghan E. Kallman (D-Dist. 15, Pawtucket, Providence), Rep. Grace Diaz (D-Dist. 11, Providence), Senate Minority Leader Jessica de la Cruz (R-Dist. 23, North Smithfield, Burrillville, Glocester) and Rep. Marie Hopkins (R-Dist. 21, Warwick) will host Women In Government’s visit to the Rhode Island State House tomorrow.

The event will begin tomorrow, Tuesday, April 7, at 1 p.m. with lunch in the Senate Lounge, with a discussion following at 1:30 p.m. in State Room on the second floor of the State House.

Women In Government is a nonpartisan national organization focused on empowering women state legislators. For nearly 40 years, Women In Government has hosted conferences, state-based events and webinars to discuss cutting-edge public policy issues. Women In Government brings together state legislators and diverse stakeholder experts to elevate and support the impactful work of women legislators.

Senator Kallman and Representative Diaz serve as Women In Government’s Rhode Island State Directors.

The meeting will be televised live by Capitol Television, which can be seen on Cox channel 61, on i3Broadband channel 15 and on Verizon channel 34. It will be live streamed at capitoltvri.cablecast.tv/.
