MEDIA ADVISORY: House Finance Subcommittees meet five times this week to hear department budgets
|
STATE HOUSE – The House Finance Subcommittees will be meeting five times this week to continue hearing department budgets.
On Tuesday, March 31 at 3 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on General Government will hear the FY 26 revised and FY 27 budgets for the Human Rights Commission and the Ethics Commission. The subcommittee is chaired by Rep. Alex D. Marszalkowski (D-Dist. 52, Cumberland).
Also on Tuesday, March 31 at the RISE of the House (approximately 4:45 p.m.) in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Public Safety will hear the FY 26 revised and FY 27 budgets for the Department of Public Safety, the Department of Corrections and the Public Defender. The subcommittee is chaired by Rep. William W. O’Brien (D-Dist. 54, North Providence).
On Wednesday, Apil 1 at 4 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Education will hear the FY 26 revised and FY 27 budgets for the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The subcommittee is chaired by Rep. Scott A. Slater (D-Dist. 10, Providence).
On Thursday, April 2 at 3 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on General Government will hear the FY 26 revised and FY 27 budgets for the Office of Energy Resources and the Public Utilities Commission.
Also on Thursday, April 2 at the RISE of the House (approximately 4:45 p.m.) in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Environment and Transportation will hear the FY 26 revised and FY 27 budgets for the Coastal Resources Management Council and Department of Environmental Management. The subcommittee is chaired by Rep. Terri Cortvriend (D-Dist. 72, Portsmouth, Middletown).
