Media Advisory: Legislators host 8th Annual Multilingual Education Advocacy Day Tuesday

STATE HOUSE — Sen. Mark McKenney and Rep. David Morales will join students, educators, advocates, policymakers and members of the Coalition for a Multilingual Rhode Island for the 8th Annual Multilingual Education Advocacy Day tomorrow, Tuesday, March 24, at 3 p.m. in the Bell Room on the first floor of the State House.
Speakers at the event will discuss the urgent need for bilingual education programs, the role of multilingualism in workforce development and the importance of passing the Support and Access to Bilingual Education Act (2026-S 2555, 2026-H 7389), sponsored by Senator McKenney (D-Dist. 30, Warwick) and Representative Morales (D-Dist. 7, Providence).
