MEDIA ADVISORY: Senate Chamber to be formally dedicated in memory of the late President of the Senate Dominick J. Ruggerio

STATE HOUSE, Providence – The family of the President of the Senate Dominick J. Ruggerio will be welcomed into the Senate Chamber for their session on Thursday, March 19, to formally dedicate the Chamber in memory of the late Senate President.
The unveiling of the plaque designating the room as “The President Dominick J. Ruggerio Senate Chamber” will be preceded by consideration of a Resolution in Ruggerio’s honor, as well as a Resolution marking the occasion of St. Joseph’s Day on Thursday.
The Most Reverend Bruce A. Lewandowski, Bishop of Providence, will offer the Invocation at the beginning of session and a special blessing following the unveiling.
The Senate will convene at 4 p.m. on Thursday for this very special dedication.
