MEDIA ADVISORY: House Finance Subcommittees meet five times this week to hear department budgets
|
STATE HOUSE – The House Finance Subcommittees will be meeting five times this week to continue hearing department budgets.
On Tuesday, March 10 at the RISE of the House (approximately 4:45 p.m.) in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Environment and Transportation will hear the FY 26 revised and FY 27 budgets for the Department of Transportation, the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority and the Rhode Island Bridge and Turnpike Authority. The subcommittee is chaired by Rep. Terri Cortvriend (D-Dist. 72, Portsmouth, Middletown).
On Wednesday, March 11 at 3 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Human Services will hear the budgets for the Governor’s Commission on Disabilities and the Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The subcommittee is chaired by Rep. Teresa A. Tanzi (D-Dist. 34, South Kingstown, Narragansett).
Also on Wednesday, March 11 at 4 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Human Services will hear the budgets for the Department of Children, Youth and Families and the Office of the Child Advocate.
On Thursday, March 12 at 3 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Education will hear the budgets for the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts and the Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission. The subcommittee is chaired by Rep. Scott A. Slater (D-Dist. 10, Providence).
Also on Thursday, March 12 at the RISE of the House (approximately 4:45 p.m.) in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Public Safety will hear the budgets for the Judiciary. The subcommittee is chaired by Rep. William W. O’Brien (D-Dist. 54, North Providence).
