MEDIA ADVISORY: Commission to study educational outcomes for children in state care meets on Monday, Nov. 17

STATE HOUSE — The Special Legislative Commission to Study Educational Outcomes for Children in State Care will be meeting on Monday, Nov. 17, at 3:30 p.m. in House Lounge of the State House.
The commission is a result of legislation (2025-H 6156A) introduced by Rep. Julie A. Casimiro (D-Dist. 31, North Kingstown, Exeter), who chairs the commission.
The commission will hear testimony from Jeannine Nota-Masse, superintendent of Cranston Public Schools, and Janette Roy, a social worker with Cranston Public Schools. There will be no public comment at the meeting.
The meeting may be televised by Capitol Television on Cox Communications, channels 15 and 61 for high definition; i3 Broadband (formerly Full Channel) on 15; and Verizon, on channel 34.
