Housing Affordability Commission to delve into modular homes
STATE HOUSE – The Special Legislative Commission to Study Housing Affordability will meet Thursday for two presentations about development of modular homes.
The meeting is scheduled Thursday, Oct. 16, at 1 p.m. in the House Lounge on the second floor of the State House.
The commission will receive a presentation by Rhode Island State Building Code Commissioner Jim Cambio on modular housing building code. Another presentation on current projects, obstacles and proposed solutions in modular housing and auxiliary dwelling unit (ADU) development will be given by Dean Warehouse Services, Inc., CEO Bradford S. Dean and ADDASPACE, LLC, Co-founder Andrew Naperotic.
No public testimony will be taken at this meeting.
The meeting will be televised on Capitol Television, which can be seen on Cox channel 61, on i3Broadband channel 15 and on Verizon channel 34. It will be live streamed at capitoltvri.cablecast.tv.
