Senate will convene at 2 p.m. to consider ban on sales of military-style weapons, state budget
|
STATE HOUSE, Providence – The Rhode Island Senate will convene today at 2 p.m. The first items on the lengthy agenda will be an act (2025-S 0359 Sub. A) to prohibit the sale of military-style weapons and the state budget (2025-H 5076 Sub. A as amended).
Other items on the agenda include the elimination of a provision that allows for so-called “payday lenders” (2025-S 229 Sub. A), legislation (2025-S 0945 Sub. A) to prohibit bid rigging, and an act (2025-S 0168 Sub. B) to prohibit pre-authorization requirements for primary care providers, a key component of the Senate’s 2025 health care package.
