Rep. O’Brien congratulates North Providence Delta Dental RI Scholar
|
STATE HOUSE – Rep. William W. O’Brien is congratulating North Providence’s Maya L. D’Ambra for being named a Delta Dental of Rhode Island Scholar.
Through a partnership between the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) and Delta Dental of Rhode Island, the Delta Dental of Rhode Island Scholarship was launched in 2023 to support CCRI dental hygiene students who have committed to living and working in Rhode Island after graduation.
“Maya is a great example of the success of the Delta Dental Scholarship program and I congratulate her for graduating from this important program that will benefit Rhode Islanders’ dental health for many years to come. This program shows what’s possible in our state’s workforce development programs and I commend CCRI and Delta Dental for recognizing a significant health care need and doing something about it. All of this year’s Delta Dental Scholars should be proud of their accomplishments, but here in North Providence, we are particularly proud of Maya and what she will contribute to our community in her new career,” said Representative O’Brien (D-Dist. 54, North Providence).
