MEDIA ADVISORY: House Judiciary Committee meets tomorrow to consider two bills
|
STATE HOUSE – The House Judiciary Committee will meet tomorrow to consider two pieces of legislation.
On Tuesday, May 6, at the Rise of the House (approximately 5 p.m.) in the House Lounge, the committee will consider legislation (2025-H 5537) sponsored by Rep. David A. Bennett (D-Dist. 20, Warwick, Cranston) that provides that advanced practice registered nurses have the same immunity from liability as physicians and surgeons.
The committee will also be considering legislation (2025-H 6039) sponsored by Rep. Julie A. Casimiro (D-Dist. 31, North Kingstown, Exeter), that requires every school district to render assistance and cooperation within its jurisdictional power to provide the courts with any information concerning a child as the court may require.
