STATE HOUSE — Senate President Valarie J. Lawson (D-Dist. 14, East Providence) has appointed Sen. John P. Burke (D-Dist. 9, West Warwick) to serve as chairman of the Senate Committee on Labor and Gaming. He most recently served as vice chairman of the committee.
