Media Advisory: Housing Affordability Commission to meet tomorrow
|
STATE HOUSE – The Special Legislative Commission to Study Housing Affordability will meet tomorrow for a presentation on clean energy in affordable housing, a federal housing update and a review of pending legislation.
The meeting is scheduled tomorrow, Thursday, April 10, at 1 p.m., in the House Lounge on the second floor of the State House.
The agenda includes a presentation via WebEx by Todd Nedwick, senior director of sustainability policy for National Housing Trust, titled “Clean Energy Retrofits in Affordable Housing: Policy Challenges and Best Practices.” It will be followed by a federal housing update from Housing Advisory Group Executive Director David Gasson. Commission Chairwoman June S. Speakman will then lead a review of pending housing legislation, followed by a discussion and questions. No public testimony will be taken at this meeting.
The meeting will be televised on Capitol Television, which can be seen on Cox channel 61, on i3Broadband channel 15 and on Verizon channel 34. It will be live streamed at capitoltvri.cablecast.tv.
