3/17/2025 Media Advisory: South Kingstown and Narragansett legislators to hold forum with RI Energy, residents
STATE HOUSE — State lawmakers representing South Kingstown and Narragansett will hold a public forum with representatives from Rhode Island Energy regarding electrical and natural gas prices on Monday, March 24, at 6 p.m. at the South Kingstown High School Auditorium at 215 Columbia St. in Wakefield. They will discuss programs to assist ratepayers who are having trouble paying their bills and address questions and concerns from members of the public.

A brief overview will kickoff the program, followed by a Q&A session. Following that, there will be opportunities for individual questions regarding qualifications for low income relief and payment programs. Residents are encouraged to bring their latest bill to discuss.

Reps. Teresa A. Tanzi (D-Dist. 34 (South Kingstown, Narragansett), Kathleen A. Fogarty (D-Dist. 35, South Kingstown), Carol Hagan McEntee (D-Dist. 33, South Kingstown, Narragansett) and Tina L. Spears (D-Dist. 36, Charlestown, New Shoreham, South Kingstown, Westerly) and Sens. V. Susan Sosnowski (D-Dist. 37, South Kingstown), Alana M. DiMario (D-Dist. 36, Narragansett, North Kingstown, New Shoreham), Victoria Gu (D-Dist. 38, Westerly. Charlestown, South Kingstown) and Bridget Valverde (D-Dist. 35, North Kingstown, East Greenwich, South Kingstown) will host the event.
