3/3/2025 MEDIA ADVISORY: House Finance Subcommittees meet three times this week to hear department budgets
STATE HOUSE – House Finance Subcommittees will be meeting three times this week to begin hearing department budgets.
           
On Tuesday, March 4 at 3 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Public Safety will hear testimony on the following FY 26 and FY 25 revised budgets:
  • Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency
  • Military Staff
The subcommittee is chaired by Rep. William W. O’Brien (D-Dist. 54, North Providence).
           
On Thursday, March 6 at 3 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Education will hear testimony on the following FY 26 and FY 25 revised budgets:
  • Rhode Island State Council on the Arts
  • Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission
The subcommittee is chaired by Rep. Scott A. Slater (D-Dist. 10, Providence).
           
Also, on Thursday, March 6 at the RISE of the House (approximately 5 p.m.) in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Education will meet again to hear testimony on the FY 26 and FY 25 revised budgets for the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
