Media Advisory: House Health, Human Services Committee meets Tuesday
|
STATE HOUSE – The House Health and Human Services Committee meets tomorrow for hearings on a variety of bills.
The committee is scheduled to meet tomorrow, Tuesday, March 12, at the rise of the House session (sometime after 4:30 p.m.) in Room 135 on the first floor of the State House. Among the bills scheduled for hearings are:

2024-H 7694 — This bill sponsored by Rep. June S. Speakman (D-Dist. 68, Warren, Bristol) creates the Rhode Island Individual Market Affordability Act of 2024 to help reduce out-of-pocket costs for low- and moderate-income consumers enrolled through the health insurance exchange.

2024-H 7821 — Sponsored by Rep. David A. Bennett (D-Dist. 20, Warwick, Cranston), this bill creates an Olmstead Plan for people vulnerable to unnecessary institutionalization to update a continuum of care to receive services and supports in the least restrictive environment.

2024-H 7880 — Sponsored by Rep. Julie A. Casimiro (D-Dist. 31, North Kingstown, Exeter), this bill provides a procedure requiring that health care facilities maintain a list with all standard charges for all medical facility items.
The meeting will be televised on Capitol Television, which can be seen on Cox channel 61, on i3Broadband channel 15 and on Verizon channel 34. It will be live streamed at capitoltvri.cablecast.tv.
