3/4/2024 MEDIA ADVISORY: Senate Finance meets twice this week for administration project updates and budget articles
STATE HOUSE – The Senate Finance Committee will meet on Tuesday, March 5 at 5 p.m. in Room 211 of the State House to hear from state agencies on the status of several human services projects.
           
The committee is chaired by Sen. Louis P. DiPalma (D-Dist. 12, Middletown, Little Compton, Newport, Tiverton).
           
The Department of Administration, the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, the Department of Children, Youth and Families, and the Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals will provide updates on the following state projects:
  • Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) Construction Plan
  • Female Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility
  • Female Youth Residential Treatment Facility
  • State-Owned Group Homes Strategy and Plan
On Thursday, March 7 at the RISE of the Senate (approximately 4:45 p.m.) in Room 211 of the State House, the committee will hear a presentation from Rhode Island Commerce on the proposed long-term economic development vision and policy for the state, Ocean State Accelerates.

The committee will also hear testimony on the FY 24 Supplemental and FY 25 budgets for the Executive Office of Commerce.

They will also hear testimony on the following FY 25 budget articles:
