MEDIA ADVISORY: Senate Finance meets twice to hear FY 25 budget articles and review ARPA spending

STATE HOUSE – The Senate Finance Committee will be meeting twice this week to begin hearing articles from the FY 2025 budget proposal (2024-H 7225) and to review American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) spending.
The committee is chaired by Sen. Louis P. DiPalma (D-Dist. 12, Middletown, Little Compton, Newport, Tiverton).
On Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 5:30 p.m. in Room 211 of the State House, the committee will hear the following budget articles from the FY 25 budget proposal:
On Thursday, Feb. 8 at the RISE of the Senate (approximately 4:45 p.m.) in Room 211 of the State House, the committee will be updated on previously authorized federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and State Fiscal Recovery Fund (SFRF) programs and appropriations. Presenters will include the RI Pandemic Recovery Office, the RI Department of Housing and the Department of Administration.
The meetings will be televised live by Capitol Television, which can be seen on Cox channel 61, on i3Broadband channel 15 and on Verizon channel 34. It will be live streamed at capitoltvri.cablecast.tv.
