STATE HOUSE – Rep. William W. O’Brien is highlighting a new grant program created by Rhode Island Humanities that seeks to help local cultural heritage organizations and historic preservation societies with operational support.
The THRIVE program will offer 18 general operating support grants of $5,000 each to eligible organizations. Grant funds may be used for expenses related to organizational operations. The program application opens Jan. 29 and the deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. on March 22.
“This grant program is an excellent opportunity for North Providence’s vibrant and diverse community organizations to secure financial funding so that they may continue supporting and strengthening our community. I encourage all qualifying organizations to learn more about the THRIVE program and to apply for this exciting grant opportunity,” said Representative O’Brien (D-Dist. 54, North Providence).
