11/3/2023 Rhode Island Black, Latino, Indigenous, Asian-American and Pacific Islander Caucus unveils 2022-2023 Legislative Report
STATE HOUSE – The Rhode Island Black, Latino, Indigenous, Asian-American and Pacific Islander Caucus (RIBLIA) has released its 2022-2023 Legislative Report.  The report details the legislative priorities and accomplishments of the Caucus over the past legislative session.

The report can be found here.

The Caucus is chaired by Sen. Jonathon Acosta (D-Dist. 16, Central Falls, Pawtucket) and Rep. Leonela Felix (D-Dist. 61, Pawtucket).

“The past years brought unprecedented challenges, from the COVID-19 pandemic to heartbreaking incidents of violence against Black Americans at the hands of the police and these challenges underscore the urgency of the caucus’s work.  As we reflect on the progress we've made and the work that still lies ahead, let us also remember the resilience of our communities. We are stronger together, and it is through our collective efforts that we will continue to make strides toward a brighter and more equitable future for all Rhode Islanders.,” said Co-Chairs Acosta and Felix.

The RIBLIA Caucus represents and advocates for the interests of disadvantaged people throughout the State of Rhode Island. It seeks to increase a diverse participation and representation in all levels of government. The goal is to close, and ultimately to eliminate, disparities that still exist between white and non-white Americans in every aspect of life.
