4/18/2023 Rep. Batista, Sen. Mack to hold joint news conference tomorrow demanding public be included in decisions on proposals in Washington Park and South Providence
STATE HOUSE – Rep. José F. Batista and Sen. Tiara Mack will hold a news conference tomorrow morning to call on state leaders to include their communities in decisions affecting their neighborhoods.

The event is in response to several developments – the closure of Alan Shawn Feinstein Elementary School, the possible expansion of Rhode Island Recycled Metals on the South Providence waterfront and a potential transitional living shelter being considered in Washington Park — all developments that have so far included no public input from the surrounding community.

The news conference is scheduled tomorrow, Wednesday, April 19, at 9:30 a.m. at Collier Point Park, on Henderson Street (off Allens Avenue) in Providence.
