5/16/2022 MEDIA ADVISORY: Senate Finance Committee to hear presentation on state information technology, psychiatric hospital budget
STATE HOUSE — The Senate Finance Committee is scheduled to meet twice this week to hear a report on Rhode Island’s information technology and again to hear testimony on a proposed state budget amendment relating to the Rhode Island Psychiatric Hospital.

The committee is scheduled to meet Tuesday, May 17, at the rise of the Senate (about 5 p.m.) in the Senate Lounge on the second floor of the State House.

Members will hear an overview of IT governance and project management structure from the Department of Administration. The panel will also hear an update on the Enterprise Resource Planning project, and a summary of major proposed IT projects and how they intersect with the state IT plan.

The committee will also meet Thursday. May 19, at the rise of the Senate (about 5 p.m.) in the Senate Lounge on the second floor of the State House

Members will hear testimony on an amendment to the governor’s proposed budget related to the Rhode Island Psychiatric Hospital, as well as legislation (2022-S 2894) introduced by Sen. Louis P. DiPalma (D-Dist. 12, Middletown, Newport, Tiverton, Little Compton) that would establish a community mental health services revolving fund, to help finance the construction and renovation of facilities to provide mental health services.
