4/11/2022 MEDIA ADVISORY: Senate Finance Committee to hear budget testimony on the Executive Office of Commerce
STATE HOUSE — The Senate Finance Committee is scheduled to meet Tuesday to hear testimony on the proposed state budget, particularly related to the Executive Office of Commerce.

The committee is scheduled to meet Tuesday, April 12, at the rise of the Senate (about 4:30 p.m.) in the Senate Lounge on the second floor of the State House.

Members will hear testimony on the proposed state budget, particularly Article 9 Section 1, relating to the Executive Office of Commerce. The committee will also hear budget proposals under the American Rescue Plan Act related to small business financial and technical assistance; aid to tourism, hospitality and event industries; statewide broadband planning and mapping, and minority business accelerator.

The committee will also consider a bill (2022-S 2187) introduced by Sen. Sandra Cano (D-Dist. 8, Pawtucket) that would expand the Rite Track Program to provide health care coverage to children up to age 19 funded by federal funds, if available, or if not available, by state funds.
