MEDIA ADVISORY: House Oversight Committee to hear review of operations from Department of Human Services

STATE HOUSE — The House Committee on Oversight is scheduled to meet Thursday to hear a review of operations from the Department of Human Services.
The committee will meet Thursday, Feb. 17, at 2 p.m. in Room 101 on the first floor of the State House.
Celia Blue, the interim director of the Department of Human Services, along with Kimberly Merolla-Brito, deputy director for Field Operations, Policy & Training, will present the review to the committee, including staffing levels, the timeliness of the application process, and call center wait times.
The House Oversight Committee is chaired by Rep. Patricia Serpa (D-Dist. 27, West Warwick, Coventry, Warwick). Masks are mandatory in committee hearings and in the State House.
The meeting will air on Capitol Television, which can be seen on Cox Channels 15 and 61, on Full Channel on Channel 15 and on Channel 34 by Verizon subscribers. The meeting will also be live streamed at http://rilegislature.gov/CapTV/Pages/default.aspx.
