MEDIA ADVISORY: House Finance meets on Thursday to hear budget briefing; Subcommittee on Human Services meets on Wednesday for department budgets

STATE HOUSE – On Thursday, June 3 at the RISE of the House (approximately 5:30 p.m.) in Room 35 of the State House, the House Finance Committee will meet to hear a staff briefing regarding the status of the budget and a Federal stimulus guidance update.
On Wednesday, June 2 at 4 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Human Services will meet to hear testimony on the department budgets of the Executive Office of Health and Human Services and the Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals.
The subcommittee will also hear testimony on Article 4 – Sections 4 and 5 of the state budget which relates to the Eleanor Slater Hospital.
Rep. Alex D. Marszalkowski (D-Dist. 52, Cumberland) chairs the subcommittee.
The State House remains closed to the public as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The hearing will be televised live on Capitol Television, which can be seen on Cox on Channels 15 and 61, in high definition on Cox Channel 1061, on Full Channel on Channel 15 and on Channel 34 by Verizon subscribers.
