MEDIA ADVISORY: House COVID-19 Vaccine Task Force meeting today postponed
|
STATE HOUSE – The House of Representatives Task Force for COVID-19 Vaccine meeting scheduled for today, Wednesday, March 3 to take public comment on the COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Process has been canceled.
The task force will meet next week virtually via WebEx on Wednesday, March 10 at 3 p.m. when the commission will welcome public testimony. A further agenda will be announced next week as well.
The task force, chaired by Rep. Raymond A. Hull (D-Dist. 6, Providence, North Providence), was created to ensure that Rhode Island’s distribution of the vaccine is done in a timely manner following the CDC guidelines and that front-line workers, the health-compromised and the elderly are given access first, and also to make certain the needs of the underserved populations are appropriately addressed.
