2/24/2021 Rep. Hull announces RI Health and Educational Building Corporation grant to The Groden Network
STATE HOUSE – Rep. Raymond A. Hull (D-Dist. 6, Providence, North Providence) is announcing a $56,949 grant from the Rhode Island Health and Educational Building Corporation (RIHEBC) to The Groden Network in Providence.

The grant will be used to acquire six 20-watt generator sets for six group homes and facilities.
“The Groden Network is an invaluable part of the community who provide support and help for numerous individuals in Providence and Rhode Island.  I am grateful for this generous grant that will allow The Groden Network to continue to provide the crucial services that they deliver on a daily basis.  I thank the RIHEBC for recognizing the value in awarding this grant and I thank the staff and employees of The Groden Network for all that they do for the residents of Providence and Rhode Island,” said Representative Hull, Chairman of the House Municipal Government and Housing Committee.

The Project Grant Program assists eligible institutions in completing capital projects or making equipment purchases that are critical to advancing their missions. Eligible institutions include non-profit educational or healthcare institutions and public schools. Recommendations were made by the organization’s grant committee, then approved by the board at its meeting on February 17.

Established by the General Assembly in 1966, the Rhode Island Health and Educational Building Corporation assists eligible borrowers to secure funding for capital projects.  Eligible borrowers include municipalities, public school districts, and public and private nonprofit educational and healthcare organizations.
