Media Advisory:Resource Recovery to brief representatives on waste study
|
STATE HOUSE – House Environment and Natural Resources Committee Chairman Arthur Handy will host a briefing for House members tomorrow about Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation’s recent waste study.
The briefing, which is open to the public and the media, is scheduled tomorrow, Thursday, April 14, at 3 p.m. in the House Lounge on the second floor of the State House.
Sara Kite Reeves, Director of Recycling Services at Resource Recovery, is expected to attend. She will brief House members on their recently completed waste study that examined what materials are going to the landfill and the proportion. The study will help those working on ways to divert materials from the landfill to lengthen its life and create economic opportunities for reuse of materials.
