Rep. Alzate statement on Hasbro leaving Pawtucket for Boston
|
STATE HOUSE – Rep. Karen Alzate (D-Dist. 60, Pawtucket, Central Falls) is issuing the following statement concerning the announcement that Hasbro is leaving Pawtucket and moving to Boston:
“While today’s announcement is a development that many in Pawtucket have feared for quite some time, I also know that the City of Pawtucket is strong, and we will weather the impacts that this corporate decision will have on our community. I am sad that this beloved institution will be leaving Pawtucket after more than 100 years of making our city proud, but Pawtucket still has brighter days ahead, and I am excited to see what businesses and community organizations will step up and fill the void of Hasbro’s absence,” said Representative Alzate.
