9/20/2021 MEDIA ADVISORY: Senate Finance Committee to meet to hear updates on COVID-19 federal funding
STATE HOUSE — The Senate Finance Committee is scheduled to meet tomorrow to hear a presentation on federal COVID-19 funding updates.

The committee is scheduled to meet Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 5 p.m. in Room 313 on the third floor of the State House.

Emily Maher, senior policy specialist with the Fiscal Affairs Program of the National Conference of State Legislatures, is scheduled to give a presentation on “Navigating the Waters: How States are Spending Federal Funds.”

The committee will also hear a review from the Department of Administration on federal COVID relief and recovery funding in Rhode Island. The presentation will be made by Joseph Codega, deputy budget officer of the Office of Management and Budget, and Dorothy Pascale, acting director of the Pandemic Recovery Office.

The Senate Finance Committee is chaired by Sen. Ryan W. Pearson (D-Dist. 19, Cumberland, Lincoln).
