MEDIA ADVISORY: Senate Rules, Government Ethics and Oversight Committee meets Monday for oversight on Eleanor Slater Hospital

STATE HOUSE – The Senate Committee on Rules, Government Ethics and Oversight will be meeting virtually via WebEx Monday, June 21 at 5 p.m. to examine the current status of the Eleanor Slater Hospital.
The committee is chaired by Sen. Louis P. DiPalma (D-Dist. 12, Middletown, Little Compton, Newport, Tiverton).
The committee will hear testimony from the following individuals:

Richard Charest, Director, Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals

Dr. Brian Daly, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Eleanor Slater Hospital

Dr. Andrew Stone, Chief of Medical Services/Assistant CMO, Eleanor Slater Hospital
Members of the public wishing to testify may submit written testimony to jplume@rilegislature.gov.
Written testimony must be submitted prior to 2 p.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021, in order for it to be provided to the members of the committee at the hearing and to be included in the meeting records.
