6/18/2021 MEDIA ADVISORY: Senate Rules, Government Ethics and Oversight Committee meets Monday for oversight on Eleanor Slater Hospital
STATE HOUSE – The Senate Committee on Rules, Government Ethics and Oversight will be meeting virtually via WebEx Monday, June 21 at 5 p.m. to examine the current status of the Eleanor Slater Hospital.

The committee is chaired by Sen. Louis P. DiPalma (D-Dist. 12, Middletown, Little Compton, Newport, Tiverton).

The committee will hear testimony from the following individuals:
  • Richard Charest, Director, Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals
  • Dr. Brian Daly, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Eleanor Slater Hospital
  • Dr. Andrew Stone, Chief of Medical Services/Assistant CMO, Eleanor Slater Hospital
Members of the public wishing to testify may submit written testimony to jplume@rilegislature.gov.

Written testimony must be submitted prior to 2 p.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021, in order for it to be provided to the members of the committee at the hearing and to be included in the meeting records.
Members of the public can request to provide verbal testimony to the committee through the following link: VERBAL TESTIMONY

*Requests to provide verbal testimony must be submitted by 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 20, 2021.
