8/15/2025 Sen. Famiglietti officially sworn into office
STATE HOUSE — Sen. Stefano Famiglietti was formally sworn into the Senate yesterday by Rhode Island Secretary of State Gregg M. Amore.

A lifelong resident of North Providence, Senator Famiglietti (D-Dist. 4, North Providence, Providence) served as a North Providence town councilman since 2018. He is a graduate of North Providence High School, the University of Rhode Island and Roger Williams University School of Law. Senator Famiglietti works as an attorney with his own practice in Providence.

Senator Famiglietti was elected in a special election Aug. 5 and will represent the district of the late Senate President Dominick L. Ruggerio, who passed away April 21.
