Media Advisory: Event tomorrow on trauma-informed schools
|
STATE HOUSE – Rep. Marcia Ranglin-Vassell and Sen. Sandra Cano will be joined by advocates at a State House event tomorrow calling for the passage of their legislation (2022-H 6667, 2022-S 2556) to implement trauma-informed practices in schools throughout the state.
The event is scheduled tomorrow, Tuesday, May 10, at 3:30 p.m. in the State Library on the second floor of the State House.
In addition to Representative Ranglin-Vassell and Senator Cano, participants will include Sen. Alana M. DiMario (D-Dist. 36, Narragansett, North Kingstown), Rep. Teresa A. Tanzi (D-Dist. 34, South Kingstown, Narragansett) Darlene Allen of Adoption Rhode Island and Naiommy Baret, a parent advocate with Young Voices.
The House Education Committee is scheduled to consider the House version of the legislation on Wednesday.
