MEDIA ADVISORY: House Finance Committee meets Thursday to continue reviewing budget requests for ARPA spending

STATE HOUSE – The House Finance Committee will be meeting on Thursday, October 28 at 4 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House to review a portion of Governor McKee’s FY 2022 supplemental budget request for the spending of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding.
Governor McKee has recently proposed spending the first ten percent of the $1.1 billion Rhode Island received under ARPA on various initiatives relating to families, workers and small businesses.
The committee will hear testimony on the following budget requests:
The meeting will be televised on Capitol Television, which can be seen on Cox Channels 15, and 61, in high definition on Cox Channel 1061, on Full Channel on Channel 15 and on Channel 34 by Verizon subscribers.
