10/21/2021 Connecting for Children & Families honors Sen. Cano
STATE HOUSE – Sen. Sandra Cano (D-Dist. 8, Pawtucket) has been honored by Connecting for Children and Families (CCF) with the organization’s Inspiring Hero Award.  Senator Cano was presented with the award last night during CCF’s Vision of Hope Awards event.

“Connecting for Children & Families has provided crucial help and support to our Northern Rhode Island children and families for so many years, and the positive impact they have had on the community during this time is impossible to fully appreciate. I am proof that organizations like CCF work to better our children and the community, and I am so honored to be recognized by this noble organization,” said Senator Cano.

The Inspiring Hero Award is presented to a person who fulfills their own destiny by inspiring others. Senator Cano was honored for her unwavering drive to enhance the lives of and empower children and families in her community. Her genuine dedication to increase financial literacy and educational parity inspires current leaders, policy makers, and our children to create a more equitable Rhode Island.

Established in 1995 as part of The Rhode Island Foundation Children’s Initiative, Connecting for Children & Families is a community-based, non-profit 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to transforming the lives of Woonsocket and Northern Rhode Island children through high-quality educational opportunities and family support.
