House Finance Committee meets Wednesday to review budget requests for ARPA spending
|
STATE HOUSE – The House Finance Committee will be meeting on Wednesday, October 20 at 5:30 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House to review a portion of Governor McKee’s FY 2022 supplemental budget request for the spending of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding.
Governor McKee has recently proposed spending the first ten percent of the $1.1 billion Rhode Island received under ARPA on various initiatives relating to families, workers and small businesses.
The committee will hear testimony on the request for an additional $32 million for impacted small business and industry and the request for an additional $13 million for tourism, hospitality and events industry support.
The meeting will be televised on Capitol Television, which can be seen on Cox Channels 15, and 61, in high definition on Cox Channel 1061, on Full Channel on Channel 15 and on Channel 34 by Verizon subscribers.
It will also be live streamed at http://rilegislature.gov/CapTV/Pages/default.aspx.
