1/1/2013 Rep. Casey sworn in as General Assembly convenes
STATE HOUSE – Rep. Stephen M. Casey (D – Dist. 50, Woonsocket) was formally sworn into office on Tuesday, Jan. 1, as the 2013-2014 session of the Rhode Island General Assembly convened.

Representative Casey was one of 16 new members of the House of Representatives who took the oath of office, which was administered to all 75 House members by the Rhode Island Secretary of State, A. Ralph Mollis.

The House of Representatives began its legislative year with a program of activities that included the re-election of Rep. Gordon D. Fox as the Speaker of the House.

Representative Casey, a Woonsocket firefighter, will be serving his first term in the General Assembly.
