MEDIA ADVISORY: Rep. Casimiro to hold child welfare community discussion on Feb. 3
STATE HOUSE – Rep. Julie A. Casimiro (D-Dist. 31, North Kingstown, Exeter) will be joined by the Office of the Child Advocate and the Center for Advanced Practice at Adoption RI to hold a community discussion on child welfare on Monday, February 3 at 6 p.m. at the North Kingstown Free Library, 100 Boone Street, North Kingstown, RI.
The areas of discussion will include the strengths and challenges in our child welfare system and ways we can improve our system. There will be a panel presentation and the public will have an opportunity to ask questions of the panelists.
The panelists will include representatives from the Department of Children, Youth and Families, the Office of the Child Advocate, the Rhode Island Family Court, and advocates, parents, and youth.
The event is free and open to the public.
