Rep. Casimiro joins Walgreens for North Kingstown Food Pantry drive
STATE HOUSE – Rep. Julie A. Casimiro (D-Dist. 31, North Kingstown, Exeter) is joining forces with Walgreens Pharmacy for a personal care product donation drive for the North Kingstown Food Pantry. Personal care products for the pantry can be purchased and/or donated at the Walgreens locations in Warwick and Coventry.
“Too many of our friends and neighbors are still in need of a helping hand during these hard financial times and I am grateful that we have organizations like the North Kingstown Food Pantry that are able to provide assistance to families in times of need,” said Representative Casimiro. “I’d like to thank Walgreens for stepping up to the challenge and helping the community and I urge everyone to stop by one of the Walgreens locations to keep the North Kingstown Food Pantry stocked with the products that are desperately needed.”
“The NK Food Pantry is very appreciative of hygiene products; they are items our clients cannot purchase with SNAP cards. We are excited about the opportunity Walgreens is giving us. Items such as soaps, shampoos and toothpaste are as necessary as food. This partnership would not have happened without Representative Casimiro taking the lead on it," said North Kingstown Food Pantry President Dr. Kimberly Page.
The North Kingstown Food Pantry is located at the Little Red School House at 445 School Street, North Kingstown. The Food Pantry is a 501 (c)(3) Rhode Island non-profit corporation supported entirely by donations from residents and businesses. It receives no state or federal funding and its board members are volunteers who share a vision to eliminate hunger in the community.
