Rep. Casimiro welcomes Girl Scout Troop 821 to the State House
|
 STATE HOUSE – Rep. Julie A. Casimiro (D-Dist. 31, North Kingstown, Exeter) welcomed the Cadette Girl Scout Troop 821 from North Kingstown to the State House on Friday, February 17. Troop 821 took a tour of the State House and then met with Representative Casimiro in the House of Representatives chamber to discuss the legislative process and the duties of being a local legislator. Troop 821 took their trip to the State House to earn their “Finding Common Ground” badge. The badge discusses differences of opinion, majority rule, asking questions of a local politician, understanding compromise, and finding common ground through mediation.
