Rep. Azzinaro bill to issue Westerly school bonds heard in committee
STATE HOUSE – Rep. Samuel A. Azzinaro’s legislation (2016-H 8160) that authorizes the Town of Westerly to issue $38,500,000 of bonds and notes to finance the construction, renovation, rehabilitation, repair, improvements, furnishing and equipping of and/or additions to schools and school facilities was heard by the House Committee on Finance.
“The schools in Westerly are in dire need of work and repair so that our children have the proper learning environments to succeed in the future,” said Representative Azzinaro (D-Dist. 37, Westerly). “I cannot think of a better investment than investing in the future of our children. The kids and taxpayers of Westerly deserve to have the best education possible and this bill will ensure that our kids will be on the right path for success later in life.”
